Drill Team and Color Guard

The Wright-Patterson Cadet Squadron currently has a Drill Team and a Color Guard. Congratulations to both teams for their strong performances at Ohio Wing Competition on April 3!

A drill team is comprised of 13 cadets and one optional alternate. They compete in 7 events: standard drill, innovative drill, uniform inspection, written exam, panel quiz, volleyball and the mile run.

A color guard consists of 4 cadets with one optional alternate. They also compete in 7 events:standard drill, indoor practical, outdoor practical, uniform inspection, written exam, panel quiz and the mile run.

Drill team and color guard cadets practice before squadron meetings and on other practice days. Aside from competition, cadets have participated in Wreaths Across America events, retirement ceremonies, Memorial Day and Flag Day events among others.
